In 1998, Fundación Proydesa extended its e-learning practices to the now called Proydesa Network: a structured and systematized set of educational organizations of higher education or university level, which covers the southern end of the American continent, and dedicated to IT training through the implementation of an own pedagogical methodology with technological presence.

Network infrastructure

To guarantee this educational service, Proydesa Network counts on state-of-the-art technological resources and a computer support that covers its entire geographical region.:

- A central node directly connected to the Internet by optical fiber, which brings services 24/7 to all the community of instructors and students.

- A total of 160 classrooms, equipped with more than 2,100 multimedia terminals distributed in 45 geographical locations.

- 62 networking laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art devices.

- A community of 489 trained and certified instructors who atttain international quality standards.

- 7,200 students,
- 26,320 Academic Community members.

That is why we can say Proydesa Network is the biggest e-learning laboratory in the region.
