Prevention in Conditions of the Working Environment for the Building Industry This course is oriented to the identification of risks and danger in the working places and environments. It gives the professionals, technicians adn workers a methodological instrument to assess the accident risk conditions in building sites, where the machines and the dangerous substances used in the production process are concentrated. Target group Professionals, technicians and workers who make up directly or indirectly the working processes done in the building sites.
Duration There is one in-person theoretical-practical meeting once a week.
Contents • Module I: Personal and collective protection • Module II: Fires and First Aid • Module III: Excavations and Demolitions • Module IV: Materials Movement. Working at height. Vehicles driving • Module V: Electric risk. Welding works • Module VI: Chemical risks, storage and cleaning. Lab guides The students will develop hands-on laboratories about real study cases.
Instructors They are specialists of the Unión Obrera de la Construcción de la República Argentina (UOCRA - Construction Workers' Union of the Argentine Republic), highly trained to give the courses.
Study material Every student has access through the Internet to a state-of-the-art management system of multimedia contents using a User ID and a Password. Through this system they have access to the Internet contents, notes and documentation in electronic format. This material is structured in such way that the student can take self-tests, consult graphic schemes and make hypertext navigation. Exams Each module has assessment examinations done through the Internet, and an in-person theoretical exam and another practical exam. CertificateAn the end of the course the graduates will receive a certificate issued by UOCRA and Fundación Proydesa.
